Repairing sliding patio doors is easier than you think. It's possible to repair them without having to remove the doors from the frames. Here's how to do it.
Rollers
A sliding door adds light and airiness to the room. However with time, dust, filth and human and pet dander can get accumulated on the track and the rollers. This makes it difficult to get the door to slide effortlessly over the track. The solution is to clean the rollers and lubricate them.

This job requires a stiff brush as well as rags and silicone spray. Find the screws that hold the rollers in their place. They are usually found on the bottom of the door, near the bottom. Remove the covers with an screwdriver and take off the rollers (Photo 1). A rag and denatured alcohol can be used to remove gunk that has accumulated on the wheels. If the wheels are clean, a few drops of lubricant should allow them to glide smooth over the tracks.
The next thing to look at is the track guide. It could be faulty and the reason the door isn't moving properly. Loose screws can throw the guide off and cause it to slide off, so tighten them. The guide can be replaced if it is worn out, but it is advisable to replace the roller set needed.
They are available in lumberyards and home centers. Look for the model number on the door's frame or one of the door panels to make certain that you are purchasing the right components for your specific sliding door.
Once you have installed the rollers, track, and guide, your door should now be ready to use. If it's stuck, the cause may be a worn head stop (the piece of wood that is above the track at the bottom that keeps the door from swinging). You can take the wood piece using a reciprocating saw, then removing any old caulking on the bottom of the frame. When the head stop is removed, you can access the screws that adjust the height of the rollers to adjust their height. After reinstalling the rollers place the adjustment screw in each access hole and then tap them into place with an hammer, while holding a wood block to avoid damage to the wheels.
Glass
The wheels of sliding glass door rollers may become misaligned over time. This is usually due to everyday use and can cause the door to overtake the track and become difficult to open or close. It is important to remember that opening and closing doors that slide must be done gently because too much force could break the glass, which could require the assistance of an expert.
This issue is usually simple to fix. You can align your wheels by applying an oil-based lubricant. It is also recommended to clean your tracks on a regular basis. This will help prevent the accumulation of dirt and other debris that could cause friction and damage. You can use a stiff brush, rags and silicone sprays to complete this task.

It seals the gap when the door closes. This kind of weatherstripping can be used to block drafts caused by the sweep or a gap between the door and the outside.
Another alternative is a roll plain or reinforced felt, which can be cut into a desired size using scissors and then secured with nails. This DIY weatherstripping offers limited protection but isn't expensive.
You can also make use of tubular or rubber silicone to block drafts from the top and sides the double-glazed sliding conservatory door. A foam wedge can be used on the bottom. This kind of insulation is tough and soft, with no compression memory, which could cause it to lose its seal when the door expands or shrinks in response to temperature.
